I'm sure everyone has seen a bajillion pictures of stuff from this EP but I wanted to share some of mine.

This is Jayden Caraway, stage name Caraway SeeD (later changed to Pretentious Pretzel), my acrobat tester sim.

Being a statue

Sim in a box

He was "walking into the wind" and got blown away

Random scenery around Starlight Shores. I actually didn't take many pictures of what the town looks like. Might have to remedy that.

Jayden and my first encounter with a karaoke machine. My ears bled.

The mechanical bull is... special :D

I couldn't find a suitable lady- or man-friend for Jayden so we stalked down this teen and waited like creepers until she aged up to YA. Her name is Becky.

FINALLY practicing his golf swing. Due to performing gigs Jayden led a largely nocturnal lifestyle and apparently there is no night golf in Simverse.

Throwing, catching, bending, stretching. Setting the world, and himself, on fire.

Becky aged up to YA! *pounces*

The karaoke machine gets regular workouts.

Wand into flowers

Making cards appear

The embarrassed reaction for failed tricks is so cute!

Look who came for a visit through SimPort! Castor by fantasyrogue!

Though he fell victim to some sort of glitch and would only perform idle actions and didn't do any tricke much to my disappointment.

Box Of Mystery!

Becky also has the Box Of Danger now but I haven't taken any pictures of her using it.

Aren't they adorable together? <3

This is their son Jordan and he is the most adorkable bunch of pixel ever! He is now a teen in my game but, again, I don't have any pictures. They also adopted a little girl, Sofia, because my son asked me if they could order a child from the hospital. So we rang the adoption service and he chose her name and clothes. I really need to get some pictures of her, too! I've been mostly playing and ignoring the C button.

Once Jayden maxed his acrobat career and Becky got to level 7 or 8 of the magician career I started a second game with Gavin Potts by brilliantcat and Chloe Wright by cpowellscircus.

Gavin is a hippie, attempting to grow a perfect garden. Chloe is a singer.

I was quite surprised that the beginner singer actually has quite a good voice. Especially as the singing on the karaoke machine is so attrocious, including by the singer sims.

I know that the ghost story is from Generations but I couldn't help myself. Just look at Chloe! How could I not take a billion pictures of that face?

Performing for tips in the park.

Delivering a sing-o-gram. Some of the animations are kind of scary. What the heck is going on with Chloe's arm?

A bunny for you, sir.

It's so cute!

I will cherish it forever!

What is my life???!

I think we all know what this is

She was moving up the ladder so I gave her a guitar. Which she promptly lost to SimPort so I had to buy her a second one.

I also gave her a new custom career outfit because I wanted something slightly more left of center than the default outfits (which are just dresses with high heels further up the career ladder).

They can perform certain songs with a guitar, which is pretty cool :)

And yes, Gavin does still exist. He is working on his garden and perfecting his golf swing. He literally gardens, fishes and plays golf every day so I have been neglecting him a bit in terms of picture taking. I need to get him a bit more of a life beyond just fertilising his crops.

Another SimPort visit, this time from a sim by joedy_76. And for the life of me I cannot remember his name :(

For those of you wondering about SimPort, it's actually not too bad. You can accept and decline the hosting requests at your leisure but they only last about 24 hours so if you ignore them, they just go away. I waited until patch 1.32 before sending or accepting sims and I have only used SimPort with people I know from LJ plus a couple of RL friends who play. Since patch 1.32 there has been no CC sent through SimPort and I don't even have the files of the sims I have hosted. Or I'm too stupid to find them. I looked in SavedSims and Downloads and I have neither .sim nor .Sims3Pack files of those sims.

I have experienced a rather unfortunate SimPort glitch which causes the playable sim to receive several telephone calls at once. So for a sim like Jayden, who has been through SimPort a few times, when he answers the phone his queue gets filled with the same command "Answer Phone". The number of commands seems to correspond to the number of SimPort trips, so Jayden gets a lot while Chloe gets only 2 or 3. I am no longer sending my sims through SimPort because of this. They're all tester sims so it's not a big deal but I would hate that to be happening in one of my regular save games.

I love the gaming console faces :)

Chloe won a Sim Fest (a random event at one of the stage destinations around town, where your sim can compete against NPC performers) and got followed by sparkles for a couple of hours.

I leave you with a picture of Jayden conquering the mechanical bull.

I'll try to take more pictures and be at least occasionally active here but to tell you guys the truth I have actually rather enjoyed mostly playing the game "for myself" and not taking lots of pictures. I will probably never stop documenting my sims' lives, not as long as I keep playing, but I think that for now I am rather content to sit back and just enjoy playing my games (I'm also playing Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age: Origins).

I had actually noticed that this EP was rather light on the LJ picspam. That was the main reason why I decided to post this. I just had not seen people flood LJ with images like they did for every other EP and SP that has been released so far. And there is definitely a lot of new gameplay in this one.

Oh and Jayden is a real cutie !

Thanks :) The Showtime professions are definitely a lot of fun. I think I will use them less than the ones that came with Ambitions (my game is crawling with ghost busters and fire fighters) but they are fun enough to warrant incorporating them into regular gameplay.

It's actgually more fun than I initially thought that it would be. I'm thinking of making a "My Ultimate Fun Place" comm lot with all the various epic items from the various EPs just so I can have somewhere to use and abuse them. And the majority of those items would be from this EP. The bull and karaoke machine, the arcade machine, etc etc... they're all fantastic. And the careers are not bad, either.
